It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Mahaffey of New Philadelphia, Ohio, who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Moses Dale Schrock; her son Michael Mahaffey; and her brother Dean Schrock. She is survived by: her mother Martha Schrock (Hershberger); her daughter Claudia Smythe (Bruce); her grandchildren, Jordan McGinnis (Michael), Jessica Pehowic and Tiffany George (Scott); her brothers, James Schrock (Linda) and Dwaine Schrock; and her sister-in-law Karen Schrock.
A reception will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (878 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663).
