She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Oscar and Edith Loraine Nord (Swank); her spouse Thomas G. Miller; and her sister Marilyn Jean Bernard. She is survived by : her children, Dr. Bradley Miller (Katy Hollister) of Cincinnati, Kristen Shepherd (Del) of Pickerington and Kyle Miller (Kim) of Dover; her grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, Nathan, Cole and Abby; and her sister Audrey Norman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Shirley's name to Community Hospice , 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 or NewPointe Community Church, 3950 State Route 39 NW, Dover, OH 44622.
