He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence C. Black and Frances G. Black (Randles); his sister Frances L. Lane; and his brothers-in-law, David Downing and Clyde Peairs.
He is survived by: his sons, Nathan Black (Tammi) and Daniel Black (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Landon and Natalie; his sisters, Rebecca Downing, Deborah Peairs, Julia Black, Sharon Black and Charlotte Stevens (Barry); his brother-in-law David Lane (Sandy); his aunt Gloria Evans; and his cousin Sheila Allspaugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins.
Before the COVID pandemic he attended a trip to Washington D. C. on the Honor Flight that was very meaningful to him.
