He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Montalto and Mary Montalto (Gallia); his sister-in-law Betty Montalto; and his nephew Gregg Montalto (Gayle). He is survived by: his children, Dr. Norman Montalto (Debbie), Beth Swick (Mason) and Drs; his granddaughters, Alice Dawson (Brandon), Megan Lambert (Donnie), Mary Garcia (Austin) and Anne Montalto (Matthew Altendorf); his great grandchildren, Zoey, Weston Keaton and Lonnie Lambert VI; his brother James Montalto; and his sibling's children, Gina Petruziello (Frank) and Thomas Montalto (Rose Montalto). He is also survived by friends, co-workers.
