He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wagenheim and Ruth Wagenheim (Jones); his wife Josephine L. Wagenheim; and his siblings, Irene Brown and Ellis Wagenheim.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lindsay J. Freytag (Fred) and Susan J. Wagenheim; his granddaughters, Sarah Freytag and Rachel Cox (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Clara Cox and Alice Cox.

Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 North Fifth Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
