He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pettibone and Alice Pettibone; his wife Joan Hartzell; and his siblings, Arthur Bruce Pettibone and Carolyn Aumont.

He is survived by: his children, Kristin Bohna (Bill), Carter Pettibone (Deidre) and Craig Pettibone (Kristi); and his grandchildren, Riley Pettibone, Tristan Pettibone, Erin Pettibone, Schuyler Pettibone and Kyra Pettibone. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Due to Covid-19 a memorial service and celebration of life will be set for a later date.
