He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Schafer and Marjorie Schafer; and his son-in-law Jason Barnes. He is survived by : his wife Ann Schafer; his children, Jenny Pasenow (Scott), Roxanna Barnes, Benjamin Schafer, Jared Schafer (Christina Curtis) and Christina Schafer; his grandchildren, RJ Morehart, Kayla Morehart, Natalie Barnes, Garrett Schafer, Gracie Schafer, Nicholas Schafer, Layla Schafer, Elijah Schafer and Lee McBride; and his siblings, Richard Schafer (Carol), Donald Schafer (Susan Wright), Robert Schafer (Sharon), David Schafer (Barb), Jerry Schafer (Denise Norman), Sharon Turner (Jim) and Diane Schafer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
