He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Carper and Evalena Carper (Kittle); his siblings, John, Chuck and Mary; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Ashton; his brother-in-law Bill; and his son-in-law Earl Mahorney.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Carper (Terri), Joanne Lytle Vollmar (Russ), Debbie Fravor (Rick), Donna Tunks (Rob), Pam Mahorney, Gloria Rolf (Don) and Mary Sampson (Ray); his siblings, Linda Bowen, Bill (Terry), Ron (Renee) and Alvin; and his friend Kelly McCullough (Mike). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
