He was predeceased by : his siblings, Bruce, Shady, Carl, Mark Nichols and Catherine Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn of Orrville; his children, Rodney Nichols of Canton and Kimberly Ball (Jim) of Smithville; his grandchildren, Cory Ball, Brittany Poling (John) and Mandy Daniels (Alex); and his great grandchildren, Cain, Kiele, Violet and Jett.
