He was predeceased by : his mother Betty Steiner (Clymer); and his siblings, Joseph Steiner, Richard Reichenbach, Sarah Murphy, John Steiner and Judy Steiner.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Steiner of Pandora; his children, Steve Steiner (Janette) of Lima, Thomas Downey (Anne) of Bluffton, Jesse Steiner (Christa) of Springfield, OH, Amy Karhoff (Scott) of Rawson and Carrie Reichenbach (Jared) of Bluffton; his grandchildren, Abigail Gwin of Pandora, Casey Houtz (Jacob) of Findlay, Erin Steiner of Dayton, Mattie Steiner of Springfield, Jenna Downey of Bluffton, Mitchell Karhoff (Morgan) of Nevada, OH, Michael Karhoff (Cecelia Tresick) of New Baltimore, MI, McKenzie Karhoff of Rawson, Ashley Augsburger of Bowling Green and Levi Augsburger of Ada; and his sister Joyce Biery. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Home - Bluffton Chapel (239 S Main St, Bluffton, OH 45817). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
