It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Demetrios Vassilaras (Parma Heights, Ohio), who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Demetrios may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sofia and Elias; his siblings, George (Maria), Yianni and Dr. Plousia Stavrakis (Kostis); and his aunt Anastasia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cannon - Catavolos Funeral Home (6953 W 130th St, Parma Heights, OH 44130). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
