He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank B. "Sonny" and Alice M. Steed (Brown); his siblings, Julie Barker and Frank Steed Jr; his stepmother Edna Steed; and his uncle Jack Steed.

He is survived by : his significant other Bonnie Heavener; his children, Andrea Steed and Jeffery Steed Jr; and his siblings, Candy Neff (Steve), Mark Steed (Midge), Bret Steed (Joni), Bart Steed (Debbie) and Samantha Steed. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jeff gave the gift of life thru organ and tissue donation.
