He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Earl and Sola Isaac Burton; his son Robert Brice Burton; his siblings, Shawn, Earl Lee Burton and Pamela Sue Burton Myers; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Juanita Dyke.

He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Dyke Hannah of Piketon; and his siblings, Sharon Hackworth (Terry), Terri Burton, David Burton, Danny Burton, Stacy Hensley (Clarence) and Scott Burton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
