He was predeceased by : his parents, Ossie Jenkins and Ruby Jenkins (Adkins); and his sister Sherry Horsley. He is survived by : his wife Brenda Jenkins; his son Rickey Jenkins Jr. (Melissa) of Portsmouth; his siblings, Dan Jenkins of Portsmouth, Cathy Shultz of New Boston and Connie Hammond of Portsmouth; and his grandson Rickey Jenkins III (Bailey) of Springfield.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the D. W. Swick Funeral Home (1104 Harrisonville Ave, New Boston, OH 45662). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
