He was predeceased by : his parents, Thurmond Adkins and Reva Adkins (Slater); his son Bart Adkins; his sister Betty Shears; and his great grandchild Annabella.
He is survived by : his wife Diana; his children, Robert Adkins Jr. (Stacey), Kathleen Adkins, Mark Malinowski (Brooke), Megan Kabour (Ameer) and Kyle Adkins (Kayla); and his brother Thurmond "Bud" Adkins, Jr.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
