He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Samec and Geraldine Samec (McMillion); and his siblings, James, Darrell Samec and Brenda Samec.

He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Samec (Andexler); his stepson Benjamin Andexler; his siblings, Timothy McMillion, Belinda Yanovich (Steve) and Gloria Williams (Clayton); his parents-in-law, Jerry and Dee Andexler; and his brothers, Steve, Kevin, Matthew (Kelly), Christopher, Jonathon (Rebecca) and Anthony Michael Andexler.
