She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Spears and Bessie Spears (Pauley); her son Dewayne Porter; her granddaughter Kiah Exline (Elmer "Jake" Burnett); and her brothers, Ernie and Ralph Spears.

She is survived by: her husband Walter Vanderpool; her children, Kenny Dolin, Jackie Dolin and Vickie Lipper; and her sister Lorraine Thompson. She is also survived by her step children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
