He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Salamon and Theresa C. Salamon (Reinhardt); and his brother Joseph Salamon. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Salamon (Line); his sons, Blake Salamon (Laura) of Oregon, Brent Salamon (Courtney) of Michigan and Scott Salamon of Ravenna; his grandchildren, J. J. Salamon, Chris Salamon, Justin Salamon (Sarah), Joe Salamon and Audrey Ives (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Lily, Micah Salamon, Brian and Elliot Ives; and his sister Barbara Salamon of Ravenna.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
