He was predeceased by: his parents, James Prater and Betty Prater; and his brother Ronald Prater. He is survived by: his wife Terri Prater; his children, Jessie Prater (Rachel Pope) and Sarah Prater (Jordan Miller); his grandchildren, Kaylyn Prater-Smetts and Lillian Prater; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Reese, Tyler Reese and Bella Miller; and his brother Thomas Prater (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
