She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Fairbanks and Kathryn Lear Fairbanks; her former husbands, Donald Duane Randall and Glenn Swindler Sr.; her husband James F. "Jim" Schaffer; her daughter Donna Kay Turner; and her siblings, Dr. Robert Fairbanks and Atty.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ryan of Mineral Ridge, Dr. Rodney Randall (Patti) of Odessa and Steve Randall (Lori) of Tampa; and her siblings, William J. Fairbanks (Sally) of Houston, TX, David L. Fairbanks (Jolene) of Liberty, Eleanor Fairbanks of Warren and Norma Rappach (Ron) of Howland. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
