He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Mendiola and Carmela Mendiola (Bucci); and his brothers, John Mendiola, Pat Mendiola (Hilda) and George Mendiola (Karen).
He is survived by: his wife Madonna M. (Trocchio); his children, Carmella S. Vacca (Tony) and Anthony J. Mendiola (Carole); his grandchildren, Erin Puleo (David), Danny Gaffney, Nick Mendiola (Brittney) and Nina Wandrisco (Zack); his great grandchildren, Marlowe, Emilia Mendiola, Leah and Matthew Wandrisco; and his sister Mary Fritz. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
