She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard; her children, Clare (Nevzat Soguk), Paul (Wendy Basile), Mark and John (Melanie Breen); her grandchildren, Nicholas Vargas, Alissandro, Derya Hanusz-Soguk, Avi, Julia, Elena and Harry Hanusz; her great grandchildren, Tyson and Bryce Vargas; her foster daughter Gina Shick; her granddaughters, Sarah, Rachel, Patricia and Jessica Shick; her siblings, Rosemary Merchant (Charles), Thomas Prendergast (Susan), Marie Prendergast and Michael Prendergast (Gloria); her parents, Patrick Prendergast and Louise Prendergast; and her sibling Pat.
In one last act of charity, Pat has chosen to donate her body for the advancement of science and medicine.
