He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Platt and Mary May Platt (Mansell); and his sister Martha Waggoner. He is survived by: his wife Sandra S. (Vair); his children, Bridget Platt, Brian Platt (Lori) and Brad Platt (Steve Crook); his stepchildren, Deborah Hutton (Charles) and Rick Raber (Patty); his siblings, Elizabeth Easterday, Margie Kemble, Shirley Keck and Kent Dickerson; and his former wife Joyce Shanklin. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
