We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2020, at the age of 83, Walter D. Plaskonka (Ravenna, Ohio), born in Homestead, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Plaskonka and Marian E. Plaskonka (Tschumy); and his brothers-in-law, Dan Valasek, Bob Waggoner and Emanuel Diskes.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Plaskonka (Belding); his daughters, Lori Chasar, Christine Losey (John) and Teresa Malinowski (Steven); his stepsons, Bryan Whittlesey (Dana) and Scott Whittlesey (Diane Trescott); and his sisters, Iris Valasek, Carol Waggoner and Karen Diskes. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

It is required that everyone attending visitation and service wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family certainly understands if you do not feel comfortable with attending due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
