He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carrol and Gladys Marie Fairchild (Hatfield); his brother Eugene; his sister-in-law Genevieve Fairchild; his sister Evelyn; his brother-in-law Ernie Brewer; his siblings, Fern Detty and James "Sank" Fairchild; his siblings-in-law, Ronald Cole, Barbara Fairchild and Carol Skeens; and his sister Shirley Irene.
He is survived by: his wife Georganna Kay Swaney; his children, Jeffery Todd Fairchild of Atlanta, Georgia, Jera Kristine Ellis (Eric) of Cleveland, Tennessee and Julie Ann Fairchild of Cleveland, Tennessee; his granddaughters, Taylor Ann Sneed (Clay) of Cleveland Tennessee and Sydney Grace Ellis of Cleveland Tennessee; his siblings, Garry Wesley Fairchild of Richmond Dale, Ruth Cole of Florida and Carolyn Swepston (Neil) of Chillicothe; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Detty of Londonderry, Wade Skeens of Chillicothe and Donna Fairchild of Chillicothe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
