He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Smith and Olita Smith (Ross); and his siblings, Tracy, Derrell, Virginia and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Molly Watkins; his sons, Michael R. of Rittman, Jody Smith of Rittman and Steven R. Smith of Rittman; his stepdaughter Cynthia Chapman of Canton; his granddaughter Stephanie Slavings (Eric); his great grandchildren, Gabriella, Logan and Jude Slavings; his stepgrandchildren, Natonya Simmons (Jimmy), Aiden Simmons, Aaron Hill (Desiree) and Tyler Hill (Liz); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aidan Hanna, Dakota, Avery, Alison, Brycen and Raeleigh Hill; and his nephew Dick Smith (Barb) of Rittman.
