He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hale and Mary Belle Hale (Booth); his wife Donna; his daughter April Swigert; his grandson Nathan Sears; and his brother Ellis Hale.
He is survived by: his children, Roger (Toi Hale), Donna Marlatt of Orrville, Kathie (Gary Sears), Mary (Rick Weaver), Jimmy Hale of Texas, Teresa Scott (Tessa) of Wooster and Wayne Walters of Rittman; and his children-in-law, Jewell, Harold Adkins of Rittman, Alice Elswick of Kentucky, Shirley Scruggs of Creston, Dorothy, Mack Wyatt of Burbank, Paul Hale of Ashland, Judy, Ronnie Adams of Kentucky, Thelma, Ray Kast of Apple Creek, Connie of West Salem, Gary Vernotzy of West Salem, Kenny Hale of West Salem and Melvin Hale of West Salem. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
