It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewell Adkins of Rittman, Ohio, born in Wayne, West Virginia, who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hale and Mary Bell Hale (Booth); her children, Ronald Lee Adkins and Barbara Jean Adkins; her brothers, James and Ellis Hale; and her siblings-in-law, Les Scruggs, Ed Elswick and Linda Hale.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Adkins; her daughters, Deb Fisher (Scott) of Rittman and Tammy Adkins of Barberton; her grandchildren, Darrell Horton Jr. (Brenda Holcomb) of Wooster, April Horton (Tony Holman) of Rittman, Jeremy Vernotzy of Barberton and Tara Griffin; her great grandchildren, Aunix, Tiffany, Daniel, Nova, Lincoln and Roman; and her siblings, Shirley Scruggs of Creston, Dorothy Wyatt (Mack) of Burbank, Alice Elswick, Thelma Kast (Ray) of Apple Creek, Judy Adams (Ron), Connie Vernotzy (Gary) of West Salem, Paul Hale of West Salem, Kenny Hale and Melvin Hale of West Salem.
