He was predeceased by: his parents, David Watts and Verlia Watts (Lewis); and his siblings, Raymond and Donna Hale (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Brian Watts of Louisiana and Vanessa; his son-in-law Tim Foster of Creston; his sisters, Doris Hoke (Danny) of Norton, Sheila Smith (Tom Myers) of Wadsworth and Lisa Hartley of West Virginia; and also Jamie Howell of Rittman.
