Sutton and Marianna Sutton (Wollet); her husband Mark Esselstein; her daughter Emerson; her siblings, Crista Heindel (Keith) of Celina, Ohio, Maralee Kochensparger (Bruce) of Ohio City, Ohio, Bryan Sutton (Kelly) of Rockford, Ohio, Dan Sutton (Marcia) of Toledo and Elaine Sutton of Ohio City, Ohio; her siblings-in-law, Ken Esselstein (Charlotte) of Xenia, Paul Esselstein (Kathy) of Oviedo, Florida, David Esselstein (Monica) of Huber Heights, Ohio, Brian Esselstein (Lisa) of Kettering, Ohio, Rob Esselstein (Teresa) of Chillicothe, Ohio and Nancy Battista (David) of Huber Heights, Ohio; and her parents-in-law, John D. and Adele Esselstein (Klopf). She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Long before her own battle, Ann supported the American Cancer Society, spearheading the Relay for Life at Celina Middle School to raise awareness and support for the fight against cancer.
