She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Kovacs and Amalia Kovacs; her husband Michael Hovanick; her daughters, Anne Zimmer and Peggy Rodríguez; her brothers, Edward and Adolph "Chuck" Kovacs; and her daughter-in-law Margaret Hovanick.

She is survived by : her children, Carol Mohr (Roy) and Michael C. Hovanick Jr.; her nephew Clayton "Skip" Kovacs; and her grandchildren, Michele Boiarski (Denny), Lucy Hovanick (Rich) and Michael S. Hovanick. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
