He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Andrew Walczewski and Anna Walczewski (Bugan); his children, Garry (Brenda) and Sharon Cooper; his grandsons, Corey and Chad Cooper; his brother Fred King; his brother-in-law James Reucher (Lamar Garcia); his wife Gertrude (Reucher); and his son Gregory. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials in Walter's memory be directed to All Saints Church.
