He was predeceased by: his parent Wilson Michael; and his sisters, Lura Roth and Alice Ricketts. He is survived by: his parent Bessie Leland Miller (Elliott); his spouse Bonnie Mitchell; his children, Daniel Miller (Darla) of Bellefontaine, Dennis Miller (LeAnn) of Galloway and LeAnn Miller of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Grant, Alex, Abbey and Grace; and his siblings, Martha Albert of West Liberty, Eloise Shirk, Sally Stephan (Walter), Maxine Smith (Don) of Lima, Helen Brown of Florida and Michael Miller (Connie) of West Liberty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
