He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo Romer and Ida Romer (Wimmers); his son Matthew Romer; and his parents-in-law, Jim, Marge Romer, Albert Romer, Bob Moorman, Ernie Hartings, Evelyn, Louis Bertke, Thelma, Lawrence Broerman, Virginia Hartings, Virgil Hartings, Lester, Dolores Hartings and Alfred Broerman.
He is survived by : his wife Betty Romer (Hartings); his children, Karla (Kevin Clune), Kathy (Jim August), Lynn (Tom Hemmelgarn) and David (Carla Romer); his grandchildren, Jonathan Clune (Kensey Siefring), Elizabeth (Bradley Stahl), Hannah Clune, Zackary (Chelsea Hart), Noah, Ethan Hart, Connor, Alec, Kaitlyn Hemmelgarn, Emma, Jack, Ben and Adison Romer; and his parents-in-law, Rebecca Moorman, Ruth Romer, Freda Hartings, Patsy Broerman, Linus, Carol Hartings, Myron and Patty Hartings.
