With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Merillat of Saint Louisville, Ohio, born in Wauseon, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2024 at the age of 83. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joyce Ann had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Joyce Ann may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Freppel and Josephine Freppel (Snyder); and her son V. J. Merillat. She is survived by : her husband Duane Merillat; her daughter Bonnie Jo Buhl (Tony); her siblings-in-law, Vicki Gear (Gerald) and Terry Merillat (Pat); her nephew David Merillat (Amneris); and her niece Stacie Hauke (Trent).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
