He is survived by: his wife Katherine Fawcett; his children, Richard Fawcett Jr. (Meghan Fawcett), Timothy Fawcett, Jennifer Geissler and Jonathan Fawcett; his stepchildren, Anna Sturgeon (Dan Costie) and Benjamin Sturgeon (Kara Sturgeon); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Geissler, Lorelai Geissler, Lillian Fawcett, Adalee Sturgeon, Fiona Costie, Eliza Costie and Carson Sturgeon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angels for Animals or the Salem Community Theater.
