She was predeceased by : her spouse Dale Donnalley. She is survived by : her stepbrother Dewight Allen; and her caregivers, Ruth Baker and Deena Radcliff.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home (1014 E State St, Salem, OH 44460). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at the Grandview Cemetery (1399 Franklin Ave, Salem, OH 44460).

At Shirley's request she wanted no flowers sent, instead memorial contributions may be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406, in her name.
