He is survived by: his wife Janet Dowling (Wilson); his children, Kirk Dowling (Christy) of Hammondsville, Robert "Kip" Dowling (Julie) of Salineville and Kelly Smith (Robert) of Lisbon; and his grandchildren, Adam Dowling (Ashley), Hartley Malone, Jaret Dowling, Heather Tranter, Maddy Wrask (Jordan) and Tara Dowling. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
