He is survived by: his wife Sue Hatfield (Sokolowski); his children, Angela Bowers, Michelle Meadows (James), Laura Gonzales, Anthony Glenn, Terry, Jerry and Wesley Hatfield; his grandchildren, Mathew, Melissa (Jeremy Quillen), Destiny, Michaela, Christian, Jessie, Ashley, Justin, Amber, Michael, Harley, Pamela and Leo; his siblings, Ethel Roberts (Gilbert), Lona Slade (Russel), Betty Miniard (Gregory), Daisy Gibbs (Ray), J. B. Hatfield, Paul Hatfield (Becky), J. C. Hatfield (Lorraine), Pearlie Hatfield, Lucy Hicks (Beve), John Milton Hatfield, William Hatfield, Tommie Hatfield, Taylor Hatfield and Roy Hatfield; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Sokolowski Jr. and Carolyn Gibbs. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
