He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil B. Townsend and Freda Townsend (Gribble); his wife Jane C. Miser; and his sister-in-law Millie Townsend. He is survived by: his siblings, Larry J. Townsend of Vienna, WV, Kenneth A. Townsend of Tanner, WV and Anna Lee Wells (Lloyd) of Toronto, OH. He is also survived by two nephews; and two nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made in Clyde's name to one's favorite charity.
