He was predeceased by: his parents, Gentle Philon and Thelma Philon (Merrida); his siblings, Gentle R. "Tim" and Thelma Jean; and his siblings' children, Nicole Williams, Latoya Taylor and Derrick.
He is survived by: his son Richard Shine; his siblings, Charles (Dawn), Kenny Philon (Robin) and Barbara Philon of Sandusky; his cousins, Thelma Towner and Delbert Pickens; and his close friend Dale Irby. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rickey's family, in care of the funeral home.
