He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Schippel and Marie Schippel (Good); his sons, Roger "Rick" and William "Bill" Schippel; his siblings, Helen Nickels, Virginia Bores, Isabelle Witter, Verona Bloomquist, Lois Geiger, Lester, Richard and Donald Schippel; and his son-in-law Ralph Voight.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schippel (Mischler); his children, Donna Casper (Dale) of St. Petersburg, FL, Shirley Voight of Sandusky and Roy Schippel of Sandusky; and his sister Joan Spieth of Canton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
