He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and Mary Sanford Thomas; his wife Judy Thomas; his son Luke Thomas; and his sister Susan Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest William Thomas, Jr. of Perkinston, MS, Julie Thomas of Wheelersburg, Cindy Piatt of Minford and Tracy Henderson of Minford; his siblings, Charles Thomas of Minford, Lonnie Craft of South Webster, Teresa Nix (Steve) of Sciotoville, Tina Shortridge (John) of Franklin Furnace and Mary Lou Moore of Stockdale; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Tristan, Jordan, Amber, Arika, Brook, Lindsay, April, Mary Beth and Andrew. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
