He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Hamlin and Anna Hamlin (Dezenzo); his former wife Virginia Hamlin; his wife Esther Hamlin; and his daughter Kathryn Hamlin.

He is survived by: his significant other Karen Conner; his cousins, Bob Beatty and Bill Cook; and his stepchildren, Richard Ball, James Ball and Rebecca Tigelman.
