He was predeceased by : his parents, John and Susie Cox (Terry); and his siblings, John Jr., Russell Cox, Alice Skraba and Della Dingess.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Sue Smith; his son Mark Cox of Sandy Hook, KY; his grandchildren, Mitchell Cox and Michelle Cataldo (Dino); his great grandchildren, Gwen and Finn Cataldo; and his brother Dallas Cox of Rittman.
