It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Lanning of Somerset, Ohio, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Kreitz and Mary Kreitz; her brother Fred Kreitz Jr.; her husband Russell Lanning; and her sons, Zephaniah and Michael Lanning.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Allen Lanning (Colleen) and Mary Susan Lanning (Leslie Dill); and her siblings, Jack Kreitz, Wilma Smith of Newark, Shirley Ratlif of Lancaster and Anne Salovich of Newark. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
