He is survived by: his parents, Benjamin Martin and Charlotte McDowell; his brothers, Christopher Kirk and Michael McDowell; his aunt Debra Perkey; his uncle Richard Perkey; and also, Stephen Perkey, David Perkey and Rebecca Perkey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY under the account of his mother, Charlotte McDowell.
