He was predeceased by: his parents, Miller Gibson and Blanche Freeman Gibson; his former wife Asenith Morris Gibson; his son Carl David Gibson; his stepson Jeffery Christian; and his siblings, Helena Gibson, Gladys Keeney, Olive Brammer, Harold Gibson, Frank Gibson, Howard Gibson and Carl Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Gibson; his children, Billie E. Gibson (Kathy) of Knoxville, TN, Terresa Gay Gibson of Columbus, OH and Sharon Kay Gibson Seagraves (Leroy) of Ashland, KY; his stepchildren, Glen Allen Christian (Heather) of Ashland, KY, Mike Christian (Cheri) of Barboursville, WV and Brenda Wells (Rusty) of South Shore, KY; and his sister Betty Gibson Knipp of Franklin Furnace, OH. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
