She was predeceased by: her parent Allen Adkins; her husband Luther Vernon "Blackie" Black; her grandson Scott Snyder; and her siblings, Orpha Workman, Diccie Coovert, Don Adkins, Lester Adkins, Franklin Adkins and Karma Adkins.
She is survived by: her parent Agnes Rakes Adkins; her children, Sharon Snyder (Lee) of Lakeland, FL, Fred Black (Linda) of Elyria, OH and Nancy Bigger (Brad) of Huntington, WV; and her brother Robert Adkins of North Port, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
