It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Maurice Woodward Jr. of South Point, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 27, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Willie Meade and Elta Eckman; his grandfathers, Charles Gillispie and Frank McCormick; and his aunts and uncles, Carolyn Sparks, Vanessa Luce, Buzzy Meade and Johnny Meade.

He is survived by: his parents, Claude Marcum and Pamela Marcum of South Point, Ohio; his grandmother Hester McCormick; his aunts and uncles, Luke Meade (Barbara), Lee Marcum (Amy), James Mayhone (Amy), Doralee Baker (Charles), Jamie Mayhone, Crystal G. Williams (Larry) and Trish Srofe (Nate); and his siblings, Kenton Wallace (Makayla), Owen Woodward (Ashley), Logan Marcum, Chasity Perkey (Jordan), Alexix Moore (Trent) and Braylee Haney.
